The P. V. Nunes Band is just different. “Think Harry Chapin meets the Grateful Dead” said one club owner. The songs (written by Paul Vincent Nunes) are smart, funny, passionate, personal… and way too true. They are driven by a jamming North Coast Americana groove of dobro and electric guitar (Bernie Heveron), acoustic guitar (Paul), washboard (Dave Paprocki) and bass (Greg Franklin).
Band members have an esoteric history of playing in (or with) The Color Blind James Experience, Bat McGrath (Bernie), The Chesterfield Kings, The Occasional Saints (Paul), Chanka-Chank, The Crawdiddies (Dave), Marjorie Thompson, and The Dave North Trio (Greg).
Fan favorites include, “New Guitar”, “Drive All Night”, “My Daughter’s Diary”, “I’m Gonna Walk”, “The Diner”, “Mama Loves the Reverb”, and “Some of Us Rise, But We Don’t Shine”.
